Leaving Footprints in Rome

17th January 2020 - E-mail update

Dear brothers and sisters,

Just a final update from us this week as today is our last day in Rome! Thank you so much for praying for us over the past few days. It has really made a difference :-)

The spiritual atmosphere in Rome Is heavy. Since Tuesday night in particular, our team has undergone a lot of spiritual warfare (especially in the areas of fear, condemnation and on our rest/sleep).

The night before our worship and prayer burn (last night),  God led us into a time of corporate repentance, highlighting 2 Chronicles  7:14 to us. Repentance and holiness precedes revival!

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” ‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬

A particular area of repentance was lukewarmness and fearing other ‘gods’ above the Lord.

Suddenly it dawned on us - before God can revive the land, first love must first be revived in us! To be agents of breakthrough, we must first allow God to breakthrough in us.

All this said, the ‘turmoil’ of the past few days was not in vain. These are the impressions and words God laid on the hearts of those attending the worship prayer burn last night:

2 Chronicles 7:14, Holy Spirit to flow into the streets of Rome/Europe; Song of Songs 2:10-13; the church as the Bride, to follow the Groom; softening of hearts; unity in the Body of Christ; family; coming back full circle; epicentre of awakening.

(Can you see a theme emerging? Repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14), unity and call for the Bride to awaken first love!)

At the end, the pastor of the local church shared an image he had - a lasting footprint in the moon that will not fade away even after we have left. The seeds, though small and invisible, will surely bear everlasting fruit in time to come.

Anyway, Ciao for now!

We will be leaving for Lesvos island early tomorrow :-) Thank you for your continued prayers.

Blessings,

The EPIC DTS team

Greetings friends! Hope this finds you well! It’s been a while since we have been in touch, but “beneath the surface” God has been doing a deep work - clearing out obstacles and ensuring no stone is l

2020 has certainly been a year to remember! Perhaps you entered into it with high hopes and expectations, but 11 months down the line are left with a feeling of loss, disappointment, disillusionment.
