Rome Update: Seeds of Awakening
14th January 2020 - E-mail update
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.”
Isaiah 60:1
Dear friends,
Hope you are all well.
Grazie tante (thank you very much!) for your continued prayer support! We really appreciate it :)
It’s been exactly one week since arriving in Rome and we thank God for all that He is doing in this city!
For those who have been following our email updates from the start, you will know that ‘unity’ was a key word that God was impressing on us - the power of unity in the church to unleash revival in Europe. Now, through connecting with the local churches in fellowship and prayer, we indeed hear God’s call for the church in Rome to unite and arise! Isaiah 60:1.
We really thank God for the brothers and sisters we have met here - for their hearts and kindness and hospitality and their love for Jesus.
One afternoon we went with some brothers from the local church on a prayer walk through the city of Rome. At nightfall we came to the colosseum.
The phrase ‘coming back full circle’ came to mind. One couldn’t help but think of the hundreds of martyrs who had laid down their lives in that dark place, at a time when the church was still in her infancy and ablaze with the flames of first love.
As forerunners, our vision is to awaken the church to her first love. The time is now!
Please pray for the rest of our time here (we will be leaving for Greece on Saturday):
- Spiritual protection as we minister daily (street evangelism, healing and deliverance, intercession and worship). In particular we have seen spiritual strongholds of witchcraft, idolatry and suicide since coming here.
- For the hearts of those we have and will be ministering to.
- On Thursday night we will be hosting a 12-hour worship and prayer burn at one of the local churches. Please pray for:
- a deep encounter with Jesus for everyone who will be there
- rekindling of the flames of first love
- a mighty release of prayers and declarations that are in line with God’s heart beat at the right time.
We appreciate your continued prayers for:
- Unity
- God’s heart and eyes and to be sensitive to His leading.
Thank you so so much! :)
Blessings,
The EPIC DTS team
